Navigating Visual Identity Transitions in Product Launchng.

Role: Art Director & Lead Motion Designer
Client: Securitas

The MySecuritas app launch coincided with a major global rebranding. We were producing a series of explainer animations despite the absence of a finalized visual identity and a completed app interface. The project required a pivot from legacy brand assets to a moving target of new design guidelines while maintaining a fixed delivery schedule.

To mitigate the risks of a shifting brief, I transitioned from a traditional production role to a strategic design lead and established a close collaboration with the client and the external design agency.

  • UI Abstraction Framework: I engineered a system of simplified interface representations. By filling in the gaps in the wireframes and simplify the design tokens, I created an infographic UI for the animations that was ”Future Proof”. The content remained recognizable for users while allowing the external agency to finalize the granular details of the live app without necessitating re-renders.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: I acted as the primary design link between the client, the executive producer, and the external brand agency. By proactively interpreting the emerging design language, I ensured visual alignment in the project.
  • Integrated Creative Direction: I managed the end-to-end creative pipeline, including script development, storyboarding, and 3D motion design. This holistic ownership allowed for rapid iterations and agile decision-making as new brand elements were released.

Seamless Brand Transition: The final assets successfully introduced the new visual identity to the market, receiving praise from the client and gratitude from the brand agency, they even reused the dotted background design.

Risk Mitigation: The proactive design approach prevented production stalls and made sure the marketing materials were ready for the global app launch.

Design-Led Problem Solving: The creation of a simplified UI system reduced dependency on the software development timeline, allowing for parallel tracks of work.
